Get Out The Vote Exhibit

“Get Out The Vote” is a national initiative sponsored by AIGA: The Professional Association for Design. Members of AIGA were invited to contribute non-partisan posters that encourage the American public to vote. The work will be on display at exhibits in conjunction with the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia and the AIGA Design Conference in Las Vegas.

If you are a local Philadelphian, come see my contribution and others until Friday, August 5th at the Art Gallery at City Hall (room 116 in City Hall). If you’re reading this from afar, enjoy the online gallery!

My poster, “A Woman’s Vote is Powerful” focuses on encouraging women to vote. 80% of the 114th Congress of the United States is male. Our country has not yet had a female president. Men have great power as the primary voices and decision makers for many important women’s issues. This poster communicates that a woman can incorporate her voice with that of our dominantly male government by exercising the right to vote. A woman’s vote is powerful!
