Philadelphia University Wins Top Honor in Core 77 Competition

Philadelphia University’s Kanbar College of Design, Engineering and Commerce wins the Core 77 2012 Design Award in the Educational Initiatives category for the DEC core curriculum. The curriculum consists of a five course sequence taken by all majors within Design, Engineering and Commerce and culminates in an integrative capstone experience. The curriculum teaches students how to work effectively in integrative teams to tackle complex and ambiguous problems. Maribeth is a member of the core curriculum development team and serves as the coordinator for the first course in the sequence, IDP (Integrative Design Process).

Maribeth's accessories include a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic and Interactive Design from Tyler School of Art and a Bachelor of Arts from Pennsylvania State University. She had the pleasure of serving as the President of AIGA Philadelphia (2009–11) and is currently employed as an Associate Professor of Graphic Design Communication at Philadelphia University. She is a recipient of a Sappi: Ideas That Matter grant.
